Human Rights Policy

Based on our Purpose, “.dot connecting creates growth,” and Principles of Conduct, ACTION 8,” Quaras Inc. (hereinafter, “the Company”) places respect for human rights at the core of management in all of our business operations. To ensure that our employes, who are the Company’s only asset and the source of our competitiveness, can work with maximum creativity, we consider it essential to build an equitable and inclusive work environment where diverse human resources are respected. We view the promotion of DE&I(Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) as an important duty and uphold and respect international human rights standards. We pledge to respect the human rights of our stakeholders and hereby establish and publish this Human Rights Policy.
  • 1. Respect for international human rights standards
    The Company upholds and respects internationally recognized human rights standards in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Specifically, we respect principles such as those laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the fundamental labor standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO), and strive to ensure that we do not violate human rights through our business operations. In addition to complying with the laws and norms of every country and region, we do not tolerate labor exploitation or discrimination in any form, including forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking.
  • 2. Respect for diversity and equity and realization of an inclusive workplace
    The Company respects the personality and individuality of every employee and aims to realize a workplace where diverse human resources can work. We provide all our employees with equal opportunities and treatment without discrimination regarding gender, age, nationality, race/ethnicity, religion, sexual preference, gender identity, or disability.
    We also reject all kinds of preconceptions, including unconscious bias and, by fostering an inclusive organizational culture, realize an environment where all employees can work in their own way with peace of mind. A workplace that is rich in diversity stimulates innovation and is in keeping with the Company’s mission to “Always Be Creative.” Moreover, employees will continue to embody our spirit of “Grow Together” based on an organizational culture of mutual respect and trust.
  • 3. Preventing harassment and maintaining a healthy workplace climate
    Viewing all kinds of harassment as a serious human rights violation, the Company does not tolerate harassment in any form. In the workplace, we place importance on maintaining a psychologically safe environment where all employees can freely express their opinions and feelings. We strive to maintain a climate of mutual respect, refraining from speech or behavior that intimidate, insult or make others uncomfortable. In order to prevent sexual harassment, power harassment, pregnancy discrimination, harassment by customers, mental harassment and other forms of harassment, we will establish clear prohibitions in employment regulations, etc. and conduct regular training and education for all employees. In the event that harassment occurs, we will take appropriate and prompt measures and strive to protect and assist the victim.
  • 4. Providing a safe and motivating work environment
    The Company takes responsibility for providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees. In addition to complying with laws and regulations regarding labor safety and hygiene, we strive to promote employees’ health and take measures to prevent long working hours and protect mental health. We also encourage motivation and growth through a fair personnel system and career support so that employees can feel pride in their work. We provide a workplace where employees can demonstrate their abilities with peace of mind and continue to be a company that can contribute to society by realizing our value of “High Morals.”
  • 5. Realization of human rights due diligence
    In order to prevent in advance adverse impacts regarding human rights in our business operations, the Company continuously conducts human rights due diligence. We identify and evaluate risks that may lead to the violation of human rights in our business and value chains (including supply chains and business partners) and take appropriate preventive measures. In the unlikely event that the operations of the Company are deemed to have an adverse impact on human rights, we will swiftly implement corrective measures and strive to ensure that the problem does not reoccur.
  • 6. Dialogue with stakeholders and relief measures
    The Company places emphasis on dialogue with all our stakeholders and listens earnestly to their concerns and opinions regarding human rights. We have set up a human rights consultation service within the company and established a system whereby employees can raise issues with peace of mind. In the event that a human rights violation occurs due to the Company’s business operations, we will take swift and appropriate relief measures for the victim. Furthermore, by encouraging our business partners and suppliers to respect human rights and requesting correction or improvement whenever necessary, we strive to promote respect for human rights throughout our value chains.
  • 7. Ethics in advertising
    The Company is deeply aware of the impact of advertising on society and, at the advertising planning and production stage, has established a system for carefully considering whether advertising contains expressions that violate human rights or are discriminatory, placing emphasis on human rights and eliminating all forms of expression that promote discrimination or prejudice. We also comply with related industry guidelines and ethical standards, and pursue forms of expression that respect the diversity of society. Furthermore, we take seriously any opinions expressed or points raised about advertising expressions both inside and outside the Company and make improvements whenever necessary.
  • 8. Implementation of education/training and dissemination
    The Company disseminates this Policy among all employees and management and continuously implement education and training regarding respect for human rights. Through training for new employees and for management, we disseminate knowledge and awareness so that all our employees and managers can act as promoters of respect for human rights. This Policy will also be made public outside the Company and we will regularly review how it is implemented and make improvements whenever necessary. Management will take the initiative in taking responsible action in accordance with the spirit of this Policy and will promote a culture of respect for human rights within the Company.
